POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is a non- profit corporation that was established in 1999 and is funded by its member
firms. The FS-ISAC is a member-driven organization whose mission is to help assure the resilience and continuity of the global financial services infrastructure and individual firms against acts that could significantly impact the sector’s ability to provide services critical to the orderly function of the global economy. The FS-ISAC shares threat and vulnerability information, conducts coordinated contingency planning exercises, manages rapid response communications for both cyber and physical events, conducts education and training programs, and fosters collaborations with and among other key sectors and government agencies.

As one of the premier ISAC’s, the FS-ISAC has a history of innovation and delivering valuable products and services to our members to help achieve our mission. To ensure our members are continuously aware and prepared for today’s threats and tomorrow’s challenges, the FS-ISAC is seeking a CONSULTANT, INFORMATION SECURITY to provide information security consulting for the organization.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position of Consultant, Information Security ensures the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for specific information systems; developing and updating system security plans; managing and controlling changes to specific systems and assessing the security impact of those changes; incident handling; and development of information system security documentation, policies, and procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for assisting the CISO with building security operations, administration of logical and physical access, monitoring of threats against the organization and membership, vulnerability management, intrusion detection/prevention, malware detection/prevention/analysis, data loss prevention, forensics, incident response, key management, and event logging/correlation.


Responsible for assisting the CISO in the management and refinement of the continuity of business/disaster recovery program of the organization working closely with the IT and Business Resiliency to facilitate.
Assist with development of information security policies, processes and procedures in support of the information security office.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Current certification with CISSP, CISM, GSEC, etc.
  • Exceptional knowledge of cyber security practices and capabilities.
  • Knowledgeable of security standards (NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Security operations experience working in/leading a SOC, Fusion Center, NOC, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of global threat landscape from both a physical and cyber perspective.
  • Ability to manage outsource providers in a MSSP relationship (Vendor Management) to include contract management, SLA management, event resolution, escalations, etc.
  • Working knowledge/experience in developing cloud security capabilities
  • 5+ years of experience of developing information security policies and procedures.
  • 5+ years of use of end point solutions, firewall configuration, and CISecurity baselines.
  • Knowledgeable in primary risk management philosophies.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across multiple time zones and countries in a fast-pace and dynamic environment.
  • Superb interpersonal skills and ability to work with a highly diverse and global staff.
  • Global work experience & Multi-cultural knowledge a plus.

BACKGROUND

The mission of the Global Resilience Federation (GRF) is to help assure the resilience and continuity of vital infrastructure and individual organizations against threats and acts that could significantly impact individual organizations and various sectors’ ability to provide services critical to the orderly functioning of the global economy. GRF is a non-profit spin-off from the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) that provides support and technology to ISACs, ISAOs, and other communities around the world, with co-located analysts supporting individual communities and participating in cross-sector sharing and collaboration.   

 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

GRF is looking for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst in Reston, VA.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Proactively monitor open source feeds and trusted sources for industry specific cyber threats and incidents.

Conduct comprehensive research on commodity/opportunistic and targeted cyber threats.

Analyze indicators, observables, and incidents submitted by members to create actionable intelligence analysis reports with mitigation recommendations.

Process RFIs, collect and consolidate responses, and distribute to the appropriate recipients.

Develop threat briefing materials/contents and present to internal/external participants on a regular basis on cyber threats relevant to the sector industry. 

Actively participate in working groups and committees in support of member community.

Utilize the analyst toolkit to conduct in-depth analysis and identify correlation of activity impacting the sector industry. 

Participate in internal cross-sector analyst sync meetings.

Collect and maintain monthly metrics on all analytic products. 

Provide necessary operational continuity support.

Develop and maintain process documents and standard operating procedures.

Develop and maintain periodic deliverables including but are not limited to: monthly threat reports, threat bulletins, intelligence reports, ad-hoc executive communications, etc. 

Participate and represent their respective sector community and conduct presentations at industry specific events.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Great analytic, writing, communication, presentation skills.

Experience with threat intelligence platforms (i.e. ThreatStream, ThreatConnect, etc.)

Ability to analyze network packet captures (PCAPs), IP addresses, triage binaries and files, and incidents.

Understanding of threats/incidents and association with cyber and geopolitical activity, and produce tailored intel reports.

Understanding of malware analysis or familiarity with reverse engineering.

Ability to write and understand YARA and SNORT rules.

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Cybersecurity Certifications preferred. (Security+, Network+, CEH, GCIH, etc.) 
  • REQUIRED 3 - 5 years of relevant experience; previous experience in either a SOC, intelligence or cyber threat intelligence preferred

POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is a member-owned, non-profit entity with thousands of members worldwide focused on building resiliency in the industry through the concept of mutual defense.  The FSISAC shares threat and vulnerability information, conducts coordinated exercises, manages rapid response communications for both cyber and physical events, conducts education and training programs, and fosters collaboration with other key industries and the public sector.  This position will serve as the Intelligence Analyst (IA) for the geographic region covering Asia-Pacific.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide real-time information to members on threats to the sector and incident reporting, in accordance with FS-ISAC classification and handling protocols.

Conduct technical research and analysis for written products in coordination with the firm’s intelligence strategy.

Conduct multiple-source intelligence analysis on current and emerging threats using advanced research methods and analytical techniques for finished intelligence products in coordination with the firm’s intelligence strategy.

Support regional threat discussions with members.

Support in-person member meetings as needed (potential overseas travel 2-4 times per year); Participate in continuous information security skills development/training.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Intelligence Skills – Has experience with the most aspects of the intelligence cycle, including identifying key collection sources, evaluating raw intelligence, conducting research, performing link analysis and preparing finished intelligence for different levels of stakeholders.

Communication Skills – Has effective oral and written communications skills with the ability to compose finished intelligence reports and briefings in a timely, concise and accurate manner in accordance with intelligence analysis skills.

Critical Thinking Skills – Is able to approach information and data in an objective and rational manner, understand bias and possible relationships of importance, and apply methods of examination to construct a clear and informed judgement.

Organizational Skills – Possesses strong time management skills to work multiple products at the same time and to a high degree of quality.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, 8-10 years of experience in in cyber security analysis or incident response.
  • Broad knowledge/experience in cyber security technology, techniques and practices - intrusion monitoring, vulnerability analysis, web application security, incident response, malware analysis, threat research, or intelligence analysis.
  • Working knowledge of the financial or merchant services community, including missions, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Familiarity with Global cyber security programs and supporting organizations, including law enforcement agencies and associations.
  • Advanced understand of the methods used by cyber-criminals and state sponsored organizations to hide themselves on the Internet, how cyber- criminals conduct online business and what are the various market places and forums they operate within.

 

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Master’s degree or higher-level education in intelligence and/or cybersecurity.
  • Previous experience conducting static, dynamic and reverse engineering malware analysis.
  • One or more of relevant certifications: Security+, Network+, CCNA, CISSP, and CEH.
  • Significant previous experience working with law enforcement and intelligence communities.
  • Understanding of the “dark web” and underground cybercrime ecosystems and possess knowledge of navigating through cryptocurrency exchanges.

POSITION SUMMARY

The mission of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is to help assure the resilience and continuity of the global financial services infrastructure and individual firms against acts that could significantly impact the sector's ability to provide services critical to the orderly functioning of the global economy.

This entry-level position is a critical team member of the membership and events sales team. The candidate must have strong Salesforce and Microsoft Office 365 experience, business writing, project coordination
skills and sales research experience. This position manages sales campaign projects; prepares sales manager for calls, takes notes and initiates follow-up; and prepares documents. Candidate is enthusiastic about the
sales function, has a keen attention to detail, understands data integrity and able to function in a fast-paced environment.

Provide sales coordination for financial institution membership, Affiliate Partner Program and provide project coordination support for Affiliate partner products.

COMPANY BACKGROUND

The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) was created by and for members and operates as a member-owned non-profit entity. FS-ISAC provides vital information to the financial services sector to assist financial firms in protecting their critical infrastructure assets and confidential information.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Overall responsibility is to coordinate the set up and maintenance of FS-ISAC members and their users while providing excellent customer service as a model and practice representing FS-ISAC with respect and courtesy.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS

Vet membership applications according to supplied criteria to determine if companies are eligible for membership and update Salesforce with the results.

Onboard new FS-ISAC members in the portal and AlertFind.

Setup Central Intelligence Repository accounts and send new user their account credentials.

Answer Member Services hotline. Resolve routine member issues and address concerns; escalate non-routine issues to management with problem solving suggestions.


Manage the affiliate program by conducting onboarding calls as well as affiliate update calls.
